Frequently asked questions
- What is CICA AUDIO?
- A tool that gives a video its sound effects. You upload a video, CICA finds the moments that should make a sound, and generates a sound effect for each one that you can then edit on a timeline.
- What is a cicapoint?
- A cicapoint is a moment in your video that should make a sound. CICA places them automatically, and you can add, move or remove them. A project can hold up to 200 active cicapoints.
- Which videos are supported?
- H.264 MP4 files up to 180 seconds long and 4096 pixels on the longest side.
- How do I get started?
- Sign in with Google and start right away. Every new account gets free credits to try CICA.
- How do credits work?
- Credits pay for the sounds CICA generates. Each sound in a generation uses 10 credits, so a project that gets 6 sounds uses 60. Regenerating a single sound uses 5 credits and gives you 3 new versions to choose from. Uploading, analysis, editing, exports and downloads are free. If you run short, CICA asks before making only the sounds your credits cover, and never charges more than it shows. Cicapoints mark where sounds go; they are not credits.
- Can I use CICA from my AI assistant?
- Yes. Connect CICA’s MCP to Claude Code or Codex, and your assistant can ask CICA for sounds while you work: it describes each event and sends a reference image, such as a screenshot of your game. CICA always quotes the cost first, so your assistant can check with you before it starts; it uses the same credits as the web app, and a connection can never spend more in a day than the daily limit you set for it. Your assistant saves the WAV files into your project, and you can listen to them, pick a version and fine-tune them in the CICA web editor. You can revoke a connection at any time.
- Can I use the sounds commercially?
- Yes. The sounds CICA makes for you can be used in commercial games, apps, videos and ads, worldwide, with no royalties and no attribution. You just can’t resell them on their own as a sound pack.
- Which languages does CICA support?
- The interface is available in English, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
